With substantial backgrounds in business information and online publishing, our leadership levers insights to managing data quality as well as relationships for driving our rapidly growing business.  As a team, our operating principles include faith in the community and an open and honest approach to everything we do. 


Gary Halliwell

Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer

Gary Halliwell has spent 17 years building online publishing companies. He was the President and Founder of Intelligence Data, an online competitive intelligence provider which experienced rapid growth prior to merger with Thomson/Dialog. Gary served as CEO of Hurwitz Group a technology analyst firm and most recent he was the President of Zoominfo, a leading search engine for people. Gary began his career as a diamond prospector, working in remote areas of the African bush before finding his current niche in online publishing. Gary has a masters degree from Oxford University.


Jeff Clewley

Co-Founder & Chief Technology Officer

Jeff Clewley has 17 years experience in online publishing. He was Chief Technology Officer of Fair Disclosure Financial Research, a Warburg Pincus portfolio company, where he developed the world's first real-time transcription service for corporate earning calls. Prior to this Jeff held several senior technical roles in online business information publishing at Thomson. Jeff has a Bachelor of science degree from the University of Vermont and lives and farms in Maine with his wife and three children.


Mark J. Feldman

Chief Operating Officer

An experienced start up executive, Mark joined NetProspex in 2008 and has helped drive strategy, operations, sales and marketing.  Previously, he co-founded a pharmaceutical services firm that grew to $6MM in revenue in 3 years. Before that he was the 8th employee at AgION Technologies, a venture-backed pioneer in silver-based antimicrobial additives where he led a division that marketed products to the pharmaceutical industry. While in school he worked at Bunyip Information Systems, an early Internet company and inventor of the Archie search technology for FTP.  Mark holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Management Information Systems from McGill University in Montreal, Canada.

Michael C. Bird

Chief Revenue Officer

Michael is responsible for sales, business development and demand generation at NetProspex. In a past life Michael was SVP of Sales and Business Development at BzzAgent. He has nearly 20 years experience in media, six of which were with CNET Networks where he created and led international media network sales as the vice president of global solutions and was the Vice President of Sales for CNET's Business Media Network. Michael spent 13 years in various roles at Ziff Davis Publishing where he led corporate network sales teams and managed many of the company's largest business relationships, including IBM and AOL.


Scott Gordon

Senior Vice President of Business Development

Scott is a seasoned data industry executive, spending the last fifteen years in the company and contact data business. Ten years of his career were with OneSource Information Services, Inc. (NASD: IUSA), where his roles included overseeing a legal and contracting team, corporate development, and content licensing.  Scott's entrepreneurial history includes his role in leading the start-up venture Platinum Data, an aggregator of high quality US company profile and contact information.  Scott has an M.B.A. from Babson College, and B.A. from Tufts University.


Patrick Wilcox

Director of Sales

Pat joined NetProspex in 2007 as the company's 4th employee and has been instrumental in helping grow the company's sales. In his current role he leads the inside sales team in its mission of helping NetProspex's clients generate new business opportunities by using verified business contacts. Previously, he worked in account management at Dunn & Bradstreet. Pat holds a B.S. from Salve Regina University.


Eric Carlstrom

Director of Product

Having worked for several startups, Eric has an affection for bootstrapping and disrupting traditional enterprise. When co-founding MICS in 2005, Eric and his partners took on the giants of the music industry by building a distributed model for CD manufacturing.  Eric holds a B.S. in Computer Science with a concentration in Artificial Intelligence from the Rochester Institute of Technology and an MBA with a concentration in Entrepreneurship from The Boston University School of Management.


Katie Martell

Director of Marketing

Katie joined NetProspex in 2009 and is responsible for the company's marketing - including brand identity, social media, demand generation, public relations, and community success. Previously, Katie managed marketing programs at Echolab, a leading provider of video production switchers and tools. She holds a B.S. in Marketing Communication, with a concentration in Advertising and Public Relations from Emerson College.
