The NetProspex management team believes that sales prospecting can be made easier by providing the sales community with a way to share their combined knowledge. With backgrounds in business information and online publishing, we trust our networks for business contacts mor than we do traditional executive directories or list-brokers who lack transparency, accuracy and comprehensiveness. NetProspex is funded by investors from the business publishing industry and is based in Boston, Massachussets.
Gary Halliwell, Co-Founder & CEO
Gary Halliwell has spent 14 years building online publishing companies. He was the President and Founder of Intelligence Data, an online competitive intelligence provider which experienced rapid growth prior to merger with Thomson/Dialog. Gary served as CEO of Hurwitz Group a technology analyst firm and most recent he was the President of Zoominfo, a leading search engine for people. Gary began his career as a diamond propspector, working in remote areas of the African bush, before finding his current niche in online publishing. Gary has a masters degree from Oxford University.
Jeff Clewley, Co-Founder & Chief Technology Officer
Jeff Clewley has 15 years experience in senior technical roles in online publishing. He was Chief Technology Officer of Fair Disclosure Financial Research, a Warburg Pincus portfolio company where he developed the world's first real-time transcription service for corporate earning calls. Prior to this Jeff held several senior technical roles in online business information publishing at Thomson. Jeff has a Bachelor of science degree from the University of Vermont and lives and farms in Maine with his wife and three children.
Karl Dias, Director of Sales
Karl Dias heads NetProspex sales and is a seasoned online sales veteran and entrepreneur. Karl was the sixth employee at Essential.com and held a number of roles as the company grew to over 200 employees including Director of Customer Acquisition. Karl has worked in key sales roles at people search engine Zoominfo and also at Dunn & Bradstreet. Karl founded and was Director of Sales for Data Chest a telecommunications company in the DSL market. Karl has a degree in psychology from North Adams State College.
Jacqueline MacCarthy, Director of Operations
Jacqui MacCarthy is responsible for business operations. Jacqui is a seasoned online executive, alternating over the past 15 years between product management and sales. Jacqui has in-depth experience in delivering accurate actionable online intelligence to professionals at the world's leading corporations. Jacqui began her career as a financial analyst for Time Life Books in London, before taking 3 years out to explore Asia. Jacqui attnded Liverpool University and the London College of Distributive Trades where she earned her business degree.
Rikki Tahta, Board Member
Richard Tahta is Co-Founder of Episode 1 Partners, a venture capital firm managing the $100M Chase Episode 1 fund, which invested in early stage internet and technology companies. Prior to that Richard was Director of corporate Development for Amazon.com in Europe. Richard has founded and sold several companies including ARK Information which sold to Thomson in 1992, Webtrack which merged with Jupiter in 1998 and Bookpages which sold to Amazon in 1998. Richard has an MBA from Columbia and an undergraduate degree from Oxford University.
Tom Moore, Board Member
Tom Moore is a veteran online business publisher and ex-divisional CEO of Thomson Financial Research which included First Call, The Investext Group, Intelligence Data and Thomson Research. Tom also held senior positions in Securities Data Corporation. Tom is a graduate of the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and the Moore School of Engineering at the University of Pennsylvania.
